The Dot

Description:

This project was to show that anyone can create art. There was a book that went along with it as well called "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds and it was about a how anyone can make art even if it is just a dot. We used a coffee filter and markers, watercolors, oil pasters, a white crayon, and a sharpie for the name.

Extension Activity:

After the kids created this dot for an extension, I would have the kids come up with another idea for an artist that is struggling to create something, something else they could start out with. (ex. a libe, a heart, a smiley face) and then have the kids create it and explain it to the class.
